Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. San Antonio is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Antonio follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This spot is a little gem where it feels like you're in NYC or some other urban mom and pop type of shop. We were greeting warmly when entered. It was 5pm and they had just opened at 4pm. We sat down and they took our orders. We had beef bulgogi, some mandu as appetizers, and some shortribs. All were fantastic. Just wished they had additional staff because we wanted dessert and no one came by to ask. We had to pay at the register to close out our bill. But overall the food was great and a complete recommend!

I usually stop by another Korean restaurant nearby, but I found Arirang Korean Restaurant by accident. Since itβs in a similar location, has a similar vibe, and has similar reviews, I was curious and decided to give it a try. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the service was pretty slow. The restaurant was also rather dark, and I canβt say it felt like the cleanest restaurant or kitchen. As for the food, this is just my personal opinion, but it tasted pretty bland to me, and I usually donβt eat very spicy food either. The portion size was also just okay. Overall, it wasnβt a terrible experience, but it didnβt really stand out to me.

Our favorite Korean restaurant in San Antonio so far (3rd one we have tried). It is unassuming, easy to drive by and not even see it was there. They offer an extensive menu, you are sure to find your favorite dish. We had the dumplings, jap chae, and bulgogi. All eight of the banchan dishes were yummy too.

Food was delicious, but I took off a star because service could be better and the location is sketchy. The place looks like its falling apart being held by duct tape...definitely gives off hole in the wall vibes. I also think its overpriced. The galbi plate is 29.99 almost the same price as an eat all you can kbbq. It came with ban chan which were all delicious and tasty, but I don' think you can get refills on it coz when I asked for a little bit more of the anchovy and bean sprouts ban chan the older lady serving me was reluctant..but she did give us another small plate of those ban chan. Seafood pancake was big and good to share and cost 17$. Tasted good but in my opinion it could have more seafood in it. Not sure i would want to willingly come back bc of price, location, and service..But, it is at least worth a try when in San antonio and if youre looking for a Korean joint that is open late.

We ordered the jokbal and the gopchang hot pot, and everything was seriously beyond delicious! The jokbal was super tender and perfectly chewy with no gamey smell at all, and it tasted even better with all the side dishes. The gopchang hot pot had a rich, spicy broth that was so addictiveand most importantly, it was loaded with so much gop (that creamy, savory fat) that every bite was incredibly flavorful. The gopchang was fresh and the portion was generous, so we were full and happy to the last spoonful. The owner was also really kind and welcoming. Weβll definitely be coming back again soon! π
